The first Sunday of each month, St. Paul's dedicates their food collection during worship and then gives it to Carroll County Food Sunday. How can you help? Look for the decorated boxes and baskets around the church and education buildings and deposit your food donations for CCFS there. Please bring something whenever you can! All non-perishable and nutritious food products are acceptable. The following list of items would be useful: Canned fruits and canned vegetables Hot or cold cereals Protein foods: canned tuna, chicken, salmon Plain rice Canned soup and broths Pasta/spaghetti in one pound boxes, macaroni and cheese Peanut butter Canned beans Tomato sauces for pastas About Carroll County Food Sunday: CCFS has been making a contribution in feeding the hungry since 1983. In the period of 28 years, CCFS has been able to offer any needy Carroll County individual or family, food which could provide two to three days per week of supplemental resources. Also provided are vouches, which may be redeemed for milk at local stores. In 2009, CCFS also began providing clients vouchers which can be redeemed at local Farmer's Markets.
Jesus said, "I was hungry and you fed me..." (Matthew 25:35) Each Thursday, "A Meal and More" serves a warm meal to over 75 men, women, and children. Our guests come from all walks of life. They are young and old, able and disabled, healthy and sick. However, they are all children of God and it is a blessing to serve them. Volunteers are always appreciated - please call the church office if you can help. Staple food items to be used during our meal are also appreciated. Items needed on a regular basis are:
St. Paul's is involved in the local community by providing facilities for local community groups and events, "staffing" for the Thursday community lunch, "A Meal and More," and financial assistance to several local Westminster and Carroll County non-profit organizations. Some of the local groups that are unaffiliated with St. Paul's who meet at or use our facilities include: American Red Cross Blood Drives Shepherd's Staff Dinner Theaters
Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings Sunday - 8p.m. Tuesday - 8:30p.m. Friday - Noon and 8p.m. Saturday - Noon (All Meetings are Closed - for people with a desire not to drink)
