St. Paul’s United Church of Christ is an Open and Affirming Congregation where God is Still Speaking. Here, we seek to receive with respect and nurture with intention the gifts of all who come to us on their journey of faith. In all things, we celebrate the richness of God’s diverse creation as we actively seek to make the world a better place.
In 1869, local families stepped out in faith to construct a grand church building at the corner of Bond and Green Streets. Indeed the congregation that gathered here continues to grow in faith and vision, building a bold new future shaped by a distinguished past. God is still speaking and we are still listening.
No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you will find here warm and welcoming people, talented and creative, generous and kind, people who are comforted by the ancient blessings of our faith even as they are committed to continuing Jesus’ prophetic ministry of justice and peace. You will find here people who understand that questions are as vital to faith as answers and that diversity enriches our covenant community. You will find here a church family in which God’s love abounds, and through which God’s love is shared with neighbors near and far. You will find here a place to belong and an opportunity to be part of something larger than any of us and all of us together.
We hope you will find yourself here as well, and that you will join this congregation whose potential is as limitless as God’s power working through us, with us and in us.
